Our Nica 2012 team leaves on Tuesday! We will be serving at Campo Alegría, on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, which serves children from some of the poorest areas of the country. While in Nicaragua we will have opportunity to do work projects at the camp, host two weekend camps for children, bring gifts of school and hospital supplies for those in need in the local community,
and also spend time in the surrounding villages ministering to families and children. Please pray that our final preparations will go smoothly, and for safety as we travel. Pray that we will communicate God’s love to the children in spite of language and culture barriers, and that God would open their hearts to the Gospel. Pray that God would bind our hearts and minds together in one goal, purpose, and vision; and above all, that the name of Jesus would be exalted.
My thoughts and prayers are with the team. I look forward to posts about their activities. This will be a life changing experience for the young people on the team and for the young people they meet in Nicaragua.
